3MC Three Men's Company at Christmas More Detail

A wonderful variety of light opera, comic songs and entertaining verse and prose. The Three Men's company are made up of David Higson, John Marsh and Jeremy Watkins - together they have played across the country and as far as Geneva, giving highly entertaining performances in aid of Charity. This afternoon's concert will be giving to Supporting Disabled In Need.

A feast of music for violin, cello and piano by Kreisler, Elgar, Rachmaninov and other fine composers. Joyce Denyer plays violin and Francis Zagni cello, with Geoff Ditcham on piano. Both Joyce and Francis play with the Bath Symphony Orchestra and Bath Concertino, and Geoff Ditcham - who also performs an interlude of recitations ? is a retired Director of Music.

This afternoon's concerts features Viv Jackson and Colin Parsons performing songs from shows such as Showboat, South Pacific and The King and I, as well as English songs and selections from opera and Gilbert & Sullivan.

Both Viv and Colin are members of BODS and have a wealth of singing credits to their names. They will be accompanied by Peter Jackson.

Since meeting at Leeds University, Diana & Colin Dobson have performed with various Gilbert & Sullivan groups and choral societies, a Bath Abbey Choir and as members of Bath Opera and Opera Piccola. They are joined by song writer and composer Ian Bell, a principle tenor with Bath Gilbert & Sullivan Society, who has also sung with T.A.O.S and Opera Piccola.

Club members take to the stage for their annual concert, with favourite songs from years gone by. Regular performers are Diane Gibb, Kaye Yeoman, Joe Baker and Mike Quick, and there will be songs from artists new to the club this year. Geoff Ditcham does the honours as compere and accompanist.

Just In Time More Detail

'Just In Time' features popular ballads and songs from the shows, sung by soprano Jenny Ireland, accompanied by Nicholas Thorne. After studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Jenny lived on a kibbutz in Israel for fifteen years, where she directed and took part in numerous musical events.

Also appearing is local cornet player Mike Priscott, accompanied by Jennie Priscott.

To celebrate ten years of the Afternoon Tea Concerts, we are holding a very special open afternoon with a short performance at 3pm from Doreen Winnicott, Mike Crick and Colin Hunt, who started the first performance a decade ago.
